Happy Birthday!

To who? to ME of course! My birthday was 3 months ago (today actually)? pffff. I know.  But I got a SUPER belated birthday present today!
I have this awesome roommate, who also happens to. be my cousin, who ALSO happens to be going to hair school right now.  Well, I've been saying for months that I needed/wanted to get my  hair cut.  So she told me she would cut it for my birthday.  We just never got around to it, but today, i WENT IN and got it cut! We scheduled the appointment a couple days ago and actually did it!  She helped me decide what to do, we were brave, and rather nervous, but are SO happy with it!  Here's the final look --cut and styled:

Funny side story to go with it:
I went this morning at 10 because I don't have class until 1.  I just HAPPEN to have that class with Patrick, which is awesome, by the way, but I always get there before him.  He knew I was getting my hair cut, and I even TOLD him I was getting bangs like this, but he still didn't fully realize it was me when he walked in.  Funny story.  Gotta love him. :) Well... I guess I don't GOTTA... but I do....

(and I really love my hair! I'm excited to play with it!)

homework

Right now, I should be doing my homework.  But I'm not.  However, now that my episode of Psych is over, I should more highly consider doing my homework.  I have officially caught up on all my Psych episodes.  Not Once Upon a Time though...
hmmm...
I should do my homework.

new show!

Okay, so my friend, Leah, got me hooked on a new show.  It's called "Once Upon a Time". Heard of it? No? WELL TOO BAD FOR YOU! GO LOOK IT UP! AND WATCH IT! It's freaking AWESOME! We watched episodes 1-3 yesterday while I was at her house, and then i came home and watched the 4th.  Unfortunately, there are only 7 right now... Dangit! It's addicting and freaking awesome. Oh did I already say that?.. yeah... hm. well. emphasis. repetition. emphasis. awesome.
k... well.. I'm not making any sense anymore, so, just look this up and then say, "Wow, Marquie! This is the coolest show ever! I don't get it though." And I'll say "I know.  Leah had to help me understand, but now it's just freaking AWESOME. So watch it MORE! Watch it ALL!"
Great.  I think I might just go watch the next episode now. on Hulu. Hulu is coolu. ...
Hope everyone is enjoying break! And if you aren't... well.. ENJOY IT! Or hurry up and be on break so you can...

SKYPE

Skype is so awesome.  Tonight... I got to Skype with Patrick.  We are across the COUNTRY from each other! what? Unfortunately, I didn't take any super hilarious pictures that end up coming on... but that's okay.  I'm sure there will be more. :P  So.. feel free to make fun of me or whatever, but this is the first time we have been apart for over 24 hours and haven't seen each other.  It's sad. :( But technically now we've seen each other... which is really great.  :) and we are both COMPLETELY done with finals! SAWEEET!!  I plan on getting to know how to use Skype REALLY well the next 2 weeks.

Early Merry Christmas to ME!

Well, so far I've had THREE early Christmases.  It's been wonderful.  Unfortunately, I only took pictures of 1.
however, there really was 3.
the first was from my sister, Michelle, who apparently just can't help but buy me lovely little rings. :)  It's a beautiful little flower ring.  Way awesome cuz we always look at super cool rings together.

the second was from Justin and Jodi.  They had my name for Christmas so ... yeah... gave me a gift.  It was a Y Sweatshirt and I freaking LOVE IT! They also gave me a skirt that I absolutely loved.  Story time! So, while Jodi was pregnant, I got to borrow the majority of her clothes. Included, (and returned to her) was a really cool BYU Sweatshirt that I just loved and a black skirt that I wore ALL the time and was amazing.  Well, the sweatshirt they gave me was to replace that one so I had a brand new one all my own. The skirt was HER skirt!  And I know she loves it.  I think it's fabulous! I wore it to school Thursday. :)

I was SO excited!  So excited it's time for another story time!  So, Patrick and I had both gone up to Justin and Jodi's to visit, and they just gave me my gifts before I left.  Well, I was.. REALLY excited.  When I got home I showed my roommate my sweatshirt in my excitement.  Normal, right? DUH. Well.. apparently I was so excited she was looking for a ring on my finger.  That might give you a giggle and a laugh and show you JUST how excited I was about it.  ... yeah....

The third Christmas was at Patrick's.  Every year his family goes over to his grandparents.  Extended and everything and they just have a casual dinner and a talents program if anyone wants to participate and then there is a gift giving.  I was told about it a little beforehand and was glad to go!  However, when you are actually given more than 1 gift and you aren't actually a member of the family, you feel pretty overwhelmed. And very loved. I was given a beautiful figurine/doll and a glitter globe with an angel that plays the First Noel. :)  I wasn't left out in the least, when it would have been just fine if I'd received nothing.  It was wonderful.  All of it.  Meeting more of Patrick's family and participating in such fun traditions with him.  And let's face it, I take basically any opportunity to spend more time with him.  Times like that are extra awesome. :)

Home

I'm home, and I love it.  Really, though, I should change that to WE are home (to MY home) and I love it.  We is Patrick and me.  Kinda crazy, but nonetheless we are here in Home Sweet Home Virginia.  We got on the flight no problem this morning and it was SO great! The sunset tonight was gorgeous and I'm pretty sure it lasted for over an hour.  Everything here is wonderful.  My friends decided to come over and say hello tonight as well! You should be introduced to them if you aren't already.  Mary, Leah, and Katie.  We are the foursome that you can't separate.  But tonight it was a fivesome with Patrick, and it was SO great!  I just love it when all my favorite friends are in the same place.  Really love it.
It's wonderful to be home home (no that is NOT a typo).  in my house. with my parents. and with everything that is familiar and comfortable and wonderful to me.
Now, I DO have to say I wish the rest of my family could be here as well, because then it would be complete.  However, I do have the privilege of seeing them each at different times and treasuring the time I get to spend with them then.
I am so looking forward to the next few days!  My hopes are for some DEFINITE chill time.  Relax. Take time as it comes, and just have fun!  And that is EXACTLY what I plan to do!
Tomorrow (or rather today) is Thanksgiving and I am so grateful.
Love you all. :) <3

Thursday! (but it's Friday)

So.  I just had to tell you all how my last Thursday went.  It went well. Went goood.  I didn't get all my clothes washed.... just one more load... just one more... yeah...

But.  ANYWAYS.

Yesterday was good.  (Moving on to yesterday --the most recent Thursday).  Sometimes I wonder if people follow my thought processes.  Sometimes I know they don't.  Anyways.  So. Yesterday I took a test. And I got a 90. and I was in the testing center for 1/2 an hour. HALF an hour. 30 minutes! that is 1800 seconds.  Not very many!  Nope. Nope it's sure not.  AWESOME.

Yep.  Then I forgot to turn in my Stats assignment... THAT'S super annoying.  But that 0 will be dropped.  Along with that other one...

And then I went on a lovely walk with my best friend.  This week has been quite busy so we haven't had a lot of time to just talk.  But last night we made some time and it was GREAT!

And now it's Friday. And I'm really happy about that.  Except tonight I have to work.  That's not quite as fun... because it's a poorly attended event which = boring.  Who knows? Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised!
